Acquisition bolsters growing portfolio of government agency customers leveraging the Accela Civic Platform.
Accela, Inc., the leading provider of civic engagement solutions for government agencies, announced today that it has acquired GeoTMS, a provider of municipal software solutions to more than 100 agencies in the United States.
The acquisition of GeoTMS bolsters Accela’s growing portfolio of government agency customers leveraging the Accela Civic Platform for land management solutions including permitting, inspection, code enforcement, planning and zoning. While Accela will continue to support GeoTMS solutions, customers will have the opportunity to quickly and seamlessly migrate to the Civic Platform to manage functions related to Land Management, Asset Management, Licensing and Public Health and Safety. GeoTMS customers will also be able to connect to CivicData.com, Accela’s free open data portal and take advantage of the growing ecosystem of developers and partners that are building innovative solution.
